Weekend impressions ::: Berlin Kreuzberg, 1st May

Posted in Uncategorized by strytllng on May 3, 2010

Just a few lines to share my weekend with you. Had a friend over from Lyon who made an amazing new wall painting in Maria (club), went on a demonstration for 6-7 hours with victorious success, managed to drag my tired bones to the Luzia open air and kept on dancing, went to the Jacki Terrasse @ Maria opening to chill with a view over the river and enjoyed the best pancake breakfast there is in Berlin in the Edelweiss in Görlitzer Park.

The month May has been named for the Greek goddess Maia, who was identified with the Roman era goddess of fertility, Bona Dea, whose festival was held in May. Conversely, the Roman poet Ovid provides a second etymology, in which he says that the month of May is named for the maiores, Latin for “elders,” and that the following month (June) is named for the iuniores, or “young people” (Fasti VI.88).

Let this beautiful elderness start. It’s the age of beauty and good electronic music I say. 😉
XOXO Strytllr.
