Vintage @ VOODOO MARKET #3

Posted in Fashion by strytllng on June 23, 2011

Mayflower Vintage is a brand that only recently entered the world of internet but has been in the works for the last few years as Luka May, it’s founder, DJ and aspiring singer/songwriter, has been a big fan of all things vintage since many years.

Collecting vintage fashion has become more than just a personal pleasure as it is slowly becoming a big part of his work. As a DJ he has the opportunity to express his vintage glamour aspirations, but he is also trying to bring it into the everyday life.
You can always arrange a visit to his home to see what vintage treasures he is hiding behind his 4-or-so walls.

LeMagass is a Berlin-based one-man company. The label is as multifacetted as is his owner, Mavin.
Being half polish, half guinean it’s safe to say that Mavin is the essence of the modern multicultured Metropole, or better yet: Afropole.

His Vintage-stand carries crazy multicolour 80′s bike-spandex as well as ultra old leather-bags/Gobelin-purses and belts from your grand-grannies’ cool emancipated friend from the 20′s. Inbetween all this you can find sunglasses, hats, shoes and T-Shirts (often with politically incorrect, sleazy slogans-something you don’t want your parents to see you wearing)

I don’t think I’ll have have enough bags or sunglasses.

See you on the 2nd July @ VOODOO MARKET in Berlin!

See Blogwatch link No.2 (after a click on the image)

As most of you may have noticed by now, I love a good creative-vintage market and I ALWAYS am an active part of the CFTorganised markets at Chez Jacki in Berlin. The girls from the CFT put a lot of work and effort into making each market a special happening and it always ends up feeling like an afternoon with friends and family even though I meet the most interesting new people there.

Part of the success of this young event series is the support from Germany’s best-known fashion blog, Les Mads. Jessie never forgets to introduce this special event to her readers and oftentimes, links to (your favorite) Strytllng in the next week to keep her non-Berlin readership up to date about what they miss by not having been there.

It is this kind of kind support which helps growing – to go BIGGER BETTER BRIGHTER with each market.

Jessie, the next market is on the 18th December – SEE U THERE?!

Open Call ::: Questions to ask Yvan Rodic aka FACEHUNTER

Posted in Uncategorized by strytllng on March 14, 2010

We all know and love his blog FACEHUNTER. Can you imagine a little blogette’s heart jumping up and down when a PR agency tells her that she will meet Yvan Rodic himself for his book release this Wednesday???!!!! I am kinda goin’ nuts over this. Love his blog, his realistic aesthetic, his eye for simple details – love FACEHUNTER.

+++This is when my blogette heart pumps in: Just  three more days to go. What should I ask him if I got five questions to pose?+++

My dear and loyal readers – can you help with this joyful task?

The most innovative questions will be forwarded to Yvan and the results will be published on Strytllng.

When + where = Facebook.

Your Strytllr.
