Excuse Me, While I Kiss The Sky

Lookbook ::: RIKA Fall/Winter 2011

Ulrika Lundgren has yet done it again with her label RIKA: an entire collection that I would wear every single design from. The early 70s inspired looks are paired with the feel of modern basic and materials to comfort our winter-stressed skin. The colors are soft rosé infused beiges to soften the winter classic – black. Without further words: Voilà, le lookbook to click through.

Can  I say: Christmas wishlist?!!!!

More Than A Woman

Posted in Fashion Week, Words of Wisdom by strytllng on October 15, 2010

We could do it just like men…or we can do it our own way and add an aesthetic that brings back wit and fun to fashion with an appeal that has long been lost in an over-sexed fashion world.

The lovely lady above is Kamila, a friend, the woman behind the camera of many fashion videos you’ve seen (check the MILAN FASHION CIRCUS video) on Strytllng and fresh breeze of air when it comes to viewing fashion through her camera. Who else choses the music to such perfection, makes upbeat cuts without overflashing the viewers eyes?

Just look at the “Best of New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2011” video. Yes, fashion can be effortless fun with a young and chic sensitivity that’s hard to find in other videos. BRAVO MISS K!

BTW: Kamila is the younger one of a sisterly duo from Parisian video production company KO.FASHION.

ellesse’s hot comeback – back to preppy tennisschool

Your favorite Strytllr has NEVER played tennis in her life but always admired those who managed to make the most out of their legs on the centre court. I’ve come upon this amazing lookbook and had a: “wait a second” moment. I know this brand just seeing that self-distinguishing logo. Yes guys, the brand, that was probably most en vogue with celebrities on and off the tennis court in the 80s is coming back and I must say – I couldn’t be more cheerful if I had two pom-poms in my hands. Everything seems right about this reinvention of a brand with a long heritage that may have been forgotten for the last 15 years.

The Italian brand has hired Mauro Massarotto who has worked with such names as STAROS, Lacoste or P.A.R.O.S.H in the past. The designer has kept the colorful style and updated the collection through modern fabrics, edgy shapes and endless combinatory possibilities.

A shoe collection consisting of leather and canvas high- and lowtops was presented in January at the Bread & Butter Exhibition in Berlin

The A/W 2010-2011 collection will be available in stores soon.

Read more about the history of ellesse here or invite me to my first tennis lesson via comment function. THANX.

Your Strytllr
